Onboard CCTV footage shows the freakish strike on bus driver Wu Bin
A heroic bus driver who died was the most talked-about topic on China’s Twitter clone, Sina Weibo microblog, on Tuesday.
1. A funeral service for the heroic bus driver Wu Bin (吴斌) was held in Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, on Tuesday morning. The 48-year-old was fatally injured by a piece of metal that flew through his windscreen when he was driving 24 passengers from Wuxi back to Hangzhou on May 29. But he regained composure after the freakish strike, going on to stop the bus, turn on the hazard lights, put on the parking brake and advise passengers to remain seated before collapsing.
