Lady Gaga sells out in Taipei

After it was announced Lady Gaga would hold a concert in Taipei on May 17, her ardent fans started queuing outside NTU Sports Center on March 19.

Some brought tents and prepared chairs and food to camp out and be first in line.

The organizer started selling tickets on Saturday morning and quickly 90% of the tickets sold out.

Police were dispatched to protect cash receipts of nearly NT$100 million ($3.4 million).

The highest ticket price is NT$12,800. Tickets under NT$6,800 were sold out.
