Movie director Zhang Yimou (张艺谋) has married again — and has three children.

Young actress He Jun (何珺) dropped the bomb in a microblog post.

She claims to know the director’s wife, Chen Ting (陈婷), as they studied dancing at the same school in Wuxi city, Jiangsu province, when they were young.

She added the news is well known in Wuxi.

Elsewhere, no one knew Yimou had married again, after divorcing Xiao Hua (肖华), with whom he had a daughter Zhang Mo (张末).

Yimou is a CPPCC (Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference) member and some experts say they have the right to have more than one kid — though others say CPPCC members are supposed to follow the one-child policy like everyone else, but do have extra kids and hush it up.

According to the one-child policy, the only exceptions are supposed to be for ethnic groups, some families in rural areas and couples who are both single children.

The authenticity of the news has not been confirmed but it was later disclosed that He Jun was fired by the production team of Yimou’s The Flowers of War (金陵十三钗) for revealing the film’s plotline and other details.

Yimou is China’s best-known director and choreographed the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games.
