Taiwan magician Louis Liu (劉謙) is still showing off after his amazing magic mirror tricks on China’s CCTV Spring Festival Gala on Sunday night, in which he managed to conjure a hand out of the mirror; and drink a glass of coffee dry by sucking at the reflected image.

Heated discussions on the Internet revealing how he had done it immediately followed.

One netizen drew a picture to suggest the magic mirror table was actually a cupboard, disguised by using mirrors underneath, so that a person could hide inside.

But Louis quickly ridiculed this interpretation, asking on his microblog, “Where is the central column under the table?”

His response drew waves of support from netizens, who condemned those who try to destroy the fun of magic, and even worse, get it wrong!
