“China’s Lady Gaga” looks like mutton
Singer Sun Yue (孙悦) has made a comeback after giving birth to a baby and appears to be channeling US pop idol Lady Gaga in a series of bold, strange looks before the public.
Now she’s being referred to as “China’s Lady Gaga.”
Sun turned up in armor for a recent TV gala and then showed it off by posting a picture of herself on her microblog.
“Sun Yue, I hope you are alright?” tweeted Beijing TV program director Yu Shoushan (于守山) — which was retweeted more than 20,000 times.
The 40-year-old’s dramatic change in style surprised not only Yu Shoushan, but also the general public.
Many netizens mocked her by referring to one of her signature tunes, I Hope You are Alright (祝你平安) and the general consensus was that Sun Yue was mutton dressed as lamb.
