Faye Wong (王菲) apologized on her Sina Weibo microblog on Thursday for an earlier post that said one of Jay Chou’s (周杰倫) songs is about having diarrhea.

She wrote, “I’m sorry” five times.

She had written on her microblog that Jay’s Chrysanthemum Flower Bed (菊花台) actually describes someone suffering from loose bowels.

“Fallen chrysanthemums, sadness all over the floor. An entire life spent on the paper … Who can say Chrysanthemum Flower Bed doesn’t mean shit?” she wrote.

Chrysanthemum in Mandarin colloquially refers to the anus.

Jay’s record label said it would not respond to Faye’s “joke”.

Jay’s and Faye’s fans have a history of bad blood.
