Karen Mok (莫文蔚) and Germany fiance Johannes have been visiting the places where they used to date in Florence, Italy, before their romantic wedding on Saturday.

Adhering to European superstition, that it is bad luck for the bridegroom to see the bride in her wedding gown before the big day, Karen appeared instead in a pretty short dress for photos.

She also released a sketch of her wedding shoes on her microblog, attracting praise and blessings from netizens.

Of course, someone did ask, “Aren’t they too high?”

But they seemed out of step with the general tone of celebration and happiness that Karen has snagged her man.
