Even Hollywood heartthrob Hugh Jackman cannot resist the power of Sina Weibo, China’s Twitter clone.

He has opened an account with a V sign to verify this is really him (or his PR people) and left his first message on Wednesday.

“Hi everyone, NI HAO MA? Hugh Jackman here, I’m new to the Weibo world but excited to be here to meet with you.”

Li Bingbing (李冰冰), his co-actress in Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (雪花与秘扇), wrote, “Scatter flowers to welcome you.”

In response, Jackman left his second message on Thursday morning, saying, “Special shout-out to Bingbing for this personal welcome message, how are you now? Hope all is fine!”

Within two days, the Australian actor has attracted over 50,000 followers.
