Jerry Yan (言承旭) has been troubled by eye problems for some time and last week visited an optometrist in Taipei.

Around 11 pm on Saturday, after he finished shooting a toothpaste commercial, Jerry was driven to a clinic, where the doctor cleaned his left eye with saline solution before applying medicine to treat an eye inflammation — supposedly caused by extreme fatigue.

The 34-year-old’s trademark large and luscious eyes have long caused him problems.

In September 2009, the F4 boy band member had keratitis after filming Down with Love (就想賴著妳).

In February last year, his right eye was swollen and puffy when he did a charity performance in Japan.

Recently, he has been busying shooting the TV drama series My Wonderful Life (我的灿烂人生) in Shanghai.

On June 17, his left eye became sore and swollen and was diagnosed with a sty — an infection of the eyelid, resulting from a blocked oil gland – which required two to three days of rest.

But apparently the cash cow had no time for a break, hence another visit to the doctor last week.

Moreover, he had to postpone his flight back to Shanghai one more day till Monday to treat a hand injury caused during filming.
