Carina Lau, Nicholas Tse score at HK Film Awards
Carina Lau (刘嘉玲) was finally crowned the Best Leading Actress in the 30th Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony Sunday night, after being nominated in the category for the sixth time.
The excited luvvy said she couldn’t stop laughing when she was presented the award to recognize her performance in Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame (狄仁杰之通天帝国).
Carina said she would put the trophy among her actor hubby Tony Leung’s (梁朝伟). Tony has won numerous awards at home and abroad.
When Nicholas Tse (谢霆锋) was announced the Best Leading Actor for his role in The Stool Pigeon (线人), he gave his actress wife Cecilia Cheung (张柏芝) a big hug before walking toward the stage.
This is a big step forward for Nicholas, who won the Best Supporting Actor at the same ceremony last year.

Best Supporting Actress: Siu Yam-yam (邵音音) in Gallants
Best Film: Gallants
Best Director: Tsui Hark (徐克) for Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame
Best Newcomer: Hanjin Tan (陈奂仁) in Bruce Lee, My Brother (李小龙)
