Multi-talented Lin Chi-ling directs documentary
After modeling, acting, singing, dancing and hosting, Lin Chi-ling (林志玲) has ventured into directing as well.
The 25-minute documentary about cervical cancer patients she directed will premiere on YouTube on March 1.

Lin Chi-ling, right, cheers up a patient
In October last year, the 36-year-old started casting, visiting patients, writing a storyline, filming and editing.
She spent Valentine’s Day in the cutting room, till 6am the next day, and even started stomping and screaming when she hit a bottleneck while copy writing.
Team members called her “the tenderest director ever” and her sweet voice was said to have mesmerized everyone on the set.
They all fought to be on the filming team for her next project.
“Finally I’m the one filming people, not the other way around. So I don’t need to wear makeup and get dressed,” she happily said.
This is the eighth year Chi-ling has served as the spokesperson to appeal to Taiwan women to take cervical smear tests.
She took the initiative to ask for the opportunity to direct the documentary free-of-charge.
