Charlene Choi and Ronald Cheng have a kid? Surely not!
Internet blogger Song Zude (宋祖德) has done it again!
On Sunday, many news websites carried an explosive story, saying actor/singer Ronald Cheng (郑中基) and Twins member Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) have a son from their marriage of four years, citing Zude and his brother Liu Xinda (刘信达).
Xinda, who calls himself the “showbiz detective,” claimed that not only did Ronald and Charlene hide their marital status (they didn’t admit they were married before they publicly confessed they were getting divorced) the two have also hidden the fact that they have a kid.
He provided a photo of the kid, saying the boy has got good genes from his parents.
He said he hopes the two can reconsider their decision of a divorce for the sake of the cute child.
This all sounds very WOW! but a quick search of Charlene’s profile appears to prove the revelation makes no sense whatsoever.
Charlene, aka Ah Sa (阿Sa), has been busy releasing albums, performing at concerts and shooting films over the past five years, especially after 2006, when she secretly married Ronald.
It’s not like she can just “plant a seed,” like men, and walk away. It takes nine months to give birth. So unless they hired a surrogate mother, it seems extremely unlikely.
Furthermore, Zude and Xinda are infamous for slandering celebrities and releasing false information — which is what has made them so well known.
The pair face a string of lawsuits from showbiz personalities and have apologized to some, including the widow of film director Xie Jin (谢晋) and actress Jin Qiaoqiao (金巧巧).
Point is. How do you determine who’s telling the truth when they’re all liars?
That’s the paradox.
