A giant 11-year old who recently won an adult modeling competition has become yet another Chinese Internet sensation.

The 175 cm tall middle school student, Xu Ruoyue (许若月), was crowned champion in the 2010 China New Face Model Qualification Contest for Shaanxi.

She beat out 500 other competitors and according to the organizers won because she has the face, figure and bearing of a supermodel.

A representative for the contest sponsor, New Silk Road Model School, said her win would give other children hope they too could become models.

Ruoyue, who likes gymnastics, had been receiving modeling lessons since March.

Her father is 185cm tall, the mother 165cm and her 20-year-old brother is 190cm.

Her mother said she was born with big hands and feet and she made sure that she had a glass of milk every day when growing up.

She towers above her classmates and is shy about her height, so often walks around hunched.

Her mother said classmates often tease her because of her size.
