Twins curse strikes again

Gillian Chung (锺欣桐) has never quite got over her Edison Chen (陈冠希) scandal and her latest humiliation was being left on the cutting floor after filming a segment for Hunan TV’s (湖南卫视) Happy Camp (快乐大本营).

Producers said the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT, 国家广播电影电视总局), which regulates TV in China, was NOT responsible for the cuts.

They suggested that Chung’s parts were not compelling.

“Color does not differ from air, air is no different from color” — Gillian Chung, aka Ah-jiao

“It may be that what she said was not that interesting or because we only have 70 minutes there was more exciting stuff. We can only select the best,” said a spokesperson.

In response, Chung’s fans posted the cut material, which reportedly featured her dancing, painting and being a beach belle.

Chung, aka Ah-jiao (阿娇), meanwhile posted a cryptic couple of lines on her microblog: “Color does not differ from air, air is no different from color.”

The deadly duo of Chung and Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) were not so long ago plotting a Twins comeback but bad press keeps getting in the way.

Choi, for instance, was a few months back found to have been lying about her marriage to actor Ronald Cheng (郑中基), when the pair called a press conference to declare they were getting divorced.

Chung, meanwhile, has had an image problem since she was shown not to be as innocent as she claimed to be in the Edison Chen photo sex scandal more than two years ago.

She was cut from a film about Mei Lanfang (梅兰芳), the Chinese opera master, and the Hunan show would have been her grand re-entry to the mainland market.
