Cyndi Wang
When she made her debut in 2003, Cyndi Wang (王心凌) was criticized for copying diva Jolin Tsai (蔡依林) because of their similar dancing styles and the images they presented.
In 2004, Cyndi was dubbed “Founder of the Sweetheart Religion” (甜心教主) because of her honeyed voice and cute dance steps.
Media outlets in China have called Cyndi — along with Angela Chang (張韶涵) and Rainie Yang (楊丞琳) — one of the three “Little Heavenly Queens” of Taiwan.
Apart from her singing and acting performances, her five-year romance with actor Wing Fan (范植偉) often hit the headlines. The relationship ended on a sour note in 2005 after Wing was reported to have kindled a fire with actress Sylvia Yang (楊雅筑).
On April 1, 2010, Wing posted two intimate photos of him and Cyndi on his blog and later claimed she was not a virgin when they met.
